Anti-Discrimination Act Amendments

Anti Discrimination Amendment Bill 2025 (Serial 28)

In response to the Attorney General’s decision not to refer the Anti-Discrimination Amendment Bill 2025 (Serial 28) to the Legislative Scrutiny Committee for inquiry and report to the Legislative Assembly, and to community concerns about the lack of appropriate consultation, input and scrutiny, I established the Community Scrutiny Forum to provide an avenue for public input. The Forum aims to ensure that community expertise and community concerns are heard on matters that directly impact people's human rights.

I am pleased to share the report, which outlines the feedback and recommendations from submissions received from a broad range of organisations and individuals across the NT community. Each submission represents a valuable contribution to this important discussion.
