Homegrown is the project that brings the Johnston community together through food, art & stories.
Over the past months, community members guided by local artist Tisha Tejaya have been creating amazing drawings inspired by the unique fruit and vegetables of Rapid Creek Markets. Next in October, we’ll be running community screen-printing workshops, turning our artwork into T-shirts, tote bags and tea towels celebrating our place and 50 years of Rapid Creek Markets. Look out on our socials for the tickets.
We'll have our Homegrown products ready for the Rapid Creek markets in November. All proceeds from the sale of Homegrown products will go into the Homegrown Community Benefit Fund to support local community organisations in the Johnston electorate.
