I’m Justine Davis, your community Independent Member for Johnston.

I’ve lived here with my family for 30 years, and I’ve spent my life working alongside people to create stronger, fairer, more connected communities. I’m not part of a party - I was elected in August 2024 because people in our community were ready for a different kind of politics.

Since then, I’ve been working hard to represent our community with integrity, openness, and genuine care. My job to listen, to make sure everyone has a voice, and that people understand how politics works, how decisions are made, and how you can get involved.

I believe in a Parliament that makes law based on evidence, not fear. That governs for everybody, not just some. That makes smart, long-term economic choices and holds itself to the highest standards of honesty and fairness. If we expect everyday people to do the right thing, we must expect the same, and more, from those in power.

As your representative in the Northern Territory Parliament, my vote will always be independent, informed by evidence and guided by community members.

I believe that community safety is about more than prisons and weapons. It’s about connection, dignity, opportunity and fairness. I’m committed to standing up for what works and to making decisions based on evidence, experience, and what people in Johnston tell me matters most.

You can find me at the Johnston Electorate office in Millner when parliament isn’t sitting, at Rapid Creek Markets every Sunday, and I hold a mobile office outside different local shops every Tuesday, I believe democracy should be accessible and grounded in real conversations with the people it’s meant to serve.

For too long, trust in politicians and parties has been broken. The language of division and exclusion we hear from our current leaders doesn’t reflect who we are in the Northern Territory. We are better than that.

We can build a Territory that is safer for everyone - one led by ethical, accountable leadership; that puts care for our people and our Country first; that looks after the economic needs of everyone; and that makes wise, informed decisions for the future we all share.

Find out more about my current projects in Johnston or Parliament here. I always love to hear from you - please get in touch.

Without a party structure, I rely on an amazing volunteer community, and we would love you to join us.

I also sit on the Legislative Scrutiny Committee, Public Accounts Committee, and represent the NT in the Commonwealth Women’s Parliamentarians Association.

There are so many ways to get involved in our political system and I will always work to open up parliament and make it answerable to you - the people.
