Campaign volunteer positions
Stall Volunteer
About the role
You’ll be the face of the Justine’s movement to change the way we do politics - talking to passersby at the mobile office, or at other stall locations such as community events, supermarkets or local parks. Your job is to listen to people in the Johnston electorate about what matters to them, record their concerns and ideas, and share information about the movement to bring community into politics.
About you
You’ll need to enjoy talking to people, but even more importantly you’ll need to be a good listener! You don’t have an answer to all their questions, or have a debate, just offer a friendly face and listen to and acknowledge people’s views.
Door-knocker
About the role
Truly out and about in the heart of our community. Alongside Justine and a small team, you’ll be hitting the streets of Johnston to knock on doors, talk to constituents and listen to their concerns. You’ll write brief notes about the conversations you’ve had and record follow up actions.
About you
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done something like this before – we’ll provide training and you’ll always go out with at least one other person. As long as you’re friendly, good at listening, and physically able to go door-to-door, we can help with the rest.
Fundraiser
About the role
We want to change NT politics and that takes money! We’re looking for a small team to work together to come up with fundraising strategies and put them into action.
About you
Ideally, you’ll have experience fundraising for an organisation. If you don’t have experience but have ideas and enthusiasm, we’d love to have you on the team.
Graphic designer
About the role
We’re looking for gun graphic designers to help out with the range of materials required to inform people about what is happening in parliament and bring people into politics.
About you
A keen eye for detail, with experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva.
Photographer/videographer
About the role
We’re looking for a photographer or videographer to help capture photos and videos at local community events. This role involves covering events, providing high-quality images and footage for use in newsletters, social media and community projects.
About you
You’ve got a background in photography or videography, or maybe you’re an enthusiast and just enjoy it as a hobby!
Office administration
About the role
We need help with a range of tasks such as data entry, research and liaising with suppliers.
About you
You’ll be highly organised, with attention to detail. You might want to commit to a regular hour in the office, or just help out with ad hoc tasks.
